The Open Zone
We have just recently began a Street Kids Ministry here in Rostov called 'The open Zone', working with the many underpriveledged kids here in our city.
There are many needs with this ministry, prayer, finances, property, aid supplies and people to help with the work!
Here is some recent news from Edick, the leader of the Street Kid Ministry.
"We are continuing to visit the children three times a week and we can already see the fruits of our labour. Two boys returned home, one of them said the prayer of repentance. We did not prepare the program with the prayer of repentance, after one and half hour of the Bible Lesson, I felt that this needed to be done. I myself did not expect, that they would sit and ask questions on the Bible topic "Our father in Heaven". Were just tried to explain the prayer "Our Father in Heaven" - how Jesus taught His disciples. I could not finished because of the interest. :0) We saw their tears during the prayer and they hid their eyes. When we were praying for their parents and I hug them as them parent and they returned the hug so strongly.
One boy named Daniel - (that we found in the hospital), ran away from the hospital...  we saw him a little later but the police took him a little later. We are continuing to ask people to pray for this ministry and to participate in this!
We are making announcements in the local churches that we need faithful workers and financial support. Also we want to ask you to pray for this, if you feel that you need to come and serve the kids of this city or to just meet them personally, then we can just say: Welcome to Rostov-on-Don, on the YWAM base - Street Kids Ministries - "the Open Zone"!!!!!"
